DDD, HIMX, VNDA, VRTX - Stock Charts to Watch
The stock market keeps chugging along, and we’re going to review some of the better looking patterns or breakouts that took place on Thursday.
3D Systems Corp. (DDD), after the disastrous pullback from January through March, going from the high 40’s down to the 27 range, it worked its way back, all the way up to new highs on Thursday before backing off. Thursday’s pop took it out across the declining topsline, increasing volume to 6.6 million shares. Right now it looks free to run up towards the 58-9 zone, maybe even higher.
Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX) is acting great. It coiled, wedged several times, flagged, and then on Thursday, it popped 78 cents, or 11.7%, on 7 million shares, closing just 9 cents off the high. That’s the best volume in a couple weeks. Looks like it’s headed to the 9 1/2-10 zone short-term.
Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (VNDA) had a big day as it continues to go up. It’s just two cents from the target zone, and doing very nicely. It looks like it’s going to test the 9.90-10 secondary target.
Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (VRTX) is doing quite well. It had a monster move in April, followed by a coil over the last 7-8 weeks, and on Thursday, it popped 4.75, or 6%, on 2.4 million shares. More importantly, it broke through the declining topsline and out of the coil. It would not be surprising to see this stock run up to the $100 range.
